In D&D 5e, paladins and rangers are half-casters — their spell list starts at level 1 and tops out at level 5. They don’t get cantrips as a class feature. If you try to generate one, the app tells you the class has no spells at that level rather than rolling something wrong.
Artificers, also half-casters, do get cantrips. Their spell list spans levels 0-5.

Counts above target show in red as a soft warning. Your campaign isn’t broken — just consider easing off magic items going forward, or accept that you’re running a high-magic game.
A session is one play session — one game-night. Every magic item you commit to a campaign gets stamped with the current session number, so you can later look back and see what was awarded each session.
If 12+ hours have passed since the last commit in this campaign, the app assumes you’re starting a new session and asks before stamping new items. Accepting bumps the counter; declining keeps the current session. Each campaign tracks its own 12-hour clock.
Yes — tap the underlined Session N in the toolbar.
· Session N tag). The 2014 DMG’s Magic Item Tables A-E heavily weight commons (potions, scrolls) at low CR. That’s how the source material rolls. If it bothers you, switch to 2024 rules — the new tables have a different distribution.
No. The 12-hour clock is based on the last commit, not the last generation. You can roll a dozen previews without affecting anything until you tap Copy and Commit to Campaign.
Yes, as long as you’re signed into the same Google account on each device. After a reinstall or new device, tap ⋮ → Restore Purchase to bring the entitlement back.
Try ⋮ → Restore Purchase first. If that doesn’t fix it, sign out and back into Google Play on the device, then re-launch LootForge. The app re-checks entitlement at startup.
Locally on the device. No accounts, no cloud sync. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, you start fresh. There’s no built-in export — if you want a backup, screenshot the Tracker tab.
